When parents Partner with their children

Dear Partners,

 

As the holiday season is upon us, I wanted to share something super valuable...a way to handle squabbling children (including teenagers and maybe even the 'bigger kids' too!)


  


As wonderful as the festive season is, it can bring a lot of stress, especially with kids being home. We can sometimes feel added pressures and create high expectations for ourselves and family members. Inevitably, there may be disagreements and fights breaking out between the younger members of the family. Stepping into Partner mode and remaining there when the going gets tough, is an essential tool for your toolkit at these times. 

Easy to say, right! Not always easy to apply.

 

Watch how this master instructor models the steps to diffuse conflict between 2 young kids. What touches me most in this video, is that it’s a powerful parenting skill, teaching children that you value healing, versus power and control. 

Watch master coach Jill Molli as she facilitates and encourages the children to use their 'big voices', express what they do want, instead of what they don't want and encourages the gift of expression rather than reaction!
